TPD (Translucent Post-larvae Disease)
TPD (Translucent Post-larvae Disease) — Caused by Vibrio parahaemolyticus carrying PirA/PirB toxin genes — destroys hepatopancreas of post-larvae. Usually occurs during nursery stage (PL5-PL15).
Symptoms
Translucent post-larvae, blurred or shrunken hepatopancreas, stop feeding, weak swimming, rapid death within 24-48h. Mortality can reach 100%.
Risk Level
Very dangerous during nursery — can wipe out entire batch. Early form of EMS/AHPND.
Treatment Protocol
1. Prevention: PCR test larvae before purchasing.
2. Treat nursery water with POWER GLUTA + VIBRIO CLEAR.
3. Boost immunity: AQUAMOS, VIMIX.
4. If outbreak: isolate immediately, stop feeding, disinfect water.
5. Severe cases: discard batch, re-treat pond from scratch.
