1. When to disinfect water
Disinfection is not for routine use — only when indicated:
- Green Vibrio on TCBS > 10³ CFU/mL in pond water.
- Shrimp showing WFS or acute signs (sporadic mortality, opaque muscle).
- Before PL stocking — disinfect inflow water.
- After heavy bottom siphoning or large water exchange.
2. Dosage
Mix with clean water, broadcast pond-wide, run all aerators:
- Acute disinfection: 1 kg/3,000 – 5,000 m³ water, single application.
- Pre-stocking inflow disinfection: 1 kg/5,000 m³, let evaporate 48h before stocking.
- Apply 9 – 11 AM so the active ingredient degrades on the right light cycle.
- Do not use when DO < 4 ppm — boost aeration 1h before broadcasting.
3. Reseed water probiotics post-disinfection
Disinfection kills Vibrio but also beneficial microbes — reseeding within 24 – 48h is mandatory:
- 24h post-VIBRIO CLEAR: broadcast SOILMAX or MAX 4000 to reseed bottom probiotics.
- Feed AQUAMOS + PRO GUT to restore the gut microbiome.
- Feed CLEVER 3 g/kg to maintain suppression on any new Vibrio.
- Monitor green Vibrio on TCBS daily for the next 7 days.
