1. Recognizing Yellow Mouth Disease
Differentiate from general weak hepatopancreas:
- Deep yellow mouth area — most distinctive sign.
- Reduced or refused feeding, empty gut.
- Atrophied pale liver, possible black spots on shell.
- Sporadic mortality 5 – 20% if untreated.
- Usually appears day 30 – 60 in Vibrio-history ponds.
2. 7-day treatment protocol
Apply immediately on symptom confirmation:
- Day 1 – 2: broadcast VIBRIO CLEAR, cut feed 50%.
- Day 3 – 7: feed CLEVER 5 g/kg + HERB GUARD 7 ml/kg + AQUAMOS 3 g/kg, 3 meals/day.
- Day 4: reseed water probiotics (SOILMAX or MAX 4000).
- After day 7: switch to CLEVER 3 g/kg + HEPA PRO 5 ml/kg maintenance 5 days.
- Boost DO ≥ 5 ppm, monitor NH₃/NO₂ daily.
3. Recurrence prevention
- Prevention from day 15: CLEVER 2 – 3 g/kg + HERBAL GOLD 3 ml/kg in feed.
- Broadcast SOILMAX or MAX 4000 every 3 – 5 days to keep Vibrio below threshold.
- Monitor green Vibrio on TCBS weekly.
- Avoid sudden > 30% water exchange — creates background stress that lets disease return.
