HEPA PRO — the golden shield detoxifying shrimp hepatopancreas

The hepatopancreas is the shrimp's “metabolic factory” — processing nutrients, absorbing minerals, and detoxifying environmental stressors. When NH3 / NO2 build up, mycotoxins enter via feed, or Vibrio strikes, the hepatopancreas is the first organ to collapse. 1. Mechanism — why plant Sorbitol matters

Plant-extracted Sorbitol in HEPA PRO not only delivers easily absorbed energy but also activates hepatic glucuronidase — the key enzyme in conjugation and toxin elimination. Combined with Anti-Hyperlipidemia MSP, the formulation fights oxidative stress and protects liver cell membranes from peroxidation.

When pond temperature exceeds 32°C or shrimp surge in feeding from day 50 to 80, the hepatopancreas hits peak metabolic load — this is exactly when HEPA PRO delivers the strongest protective effect.

2. Dosage — prevention and recovery

Mix with clean water, blend into feed, coat with ATOMIC, dry 20 min:

Routine (prevention): 3 – 5 ml/kg feed, 1 – 2 meals/day.
Detoxification & liver color improvement: 5 – 7 ml/kg feed.
Acute liver damage (atrophy, pale, swollen): cut feed ≥ 50% + dose at 10 – 15 ml/kg feed.

3. When farmers should reach for HEPA PRO

Step up HEPA PRO when any of these appear:

Pale or yellowish liver, blurred liver-gut boundary.
Drop in feed intake after day 40, abnormal FCR rise.
Pond temp > 32°C for several days, or seasonal change.
After antibiotic or chemical disinfectant treatment — liver needs to recover.
Suspected mycotoxin contamination in feed.

4. Best combinations

HEPA PRO works strongest in a 3-layer recovery protocol:

Layer 1 (liver detox): HEPA PRO 5 – 7 ml/kg.
Layer 2 (pathogen control): CLEVER 3 – 5 g/kg + FLASH 3 – 5 g/kg.
Layer 3 (gut rehab): PRO SUR or BIOZYME 3 – 5 g/kg.
Maintain DO ≥ 5 ppm and treat toxic gases (MAX 4000) in parallel so the liver can actually clear toxins.

5. Storage & notes

Shake before use. Reseal immediately. Store dry, cool, out of direct sunlight, below 30°C. Dosage adapts to shrimp health — contact our technicians for a pond-specific protocol.

Ingredients: Sorbitol (extracted from plants), Solvent (distilled water).

Directions & dosage:

Mix the product with sufficient clean water, mix thoroughly into the feed, coat with ATOMIC or a suitable coating product, and let dry for 20 minutes before feeding to shrimp. During farming: 3 – 5 ml/kg feed, 1 – 2 meals/day. To support toxin elimination and improve hepatopancreas color: 5 – 7 ml/kg feed. When shrimp show signs of poor hepatopancreas, reduce feeding by at least 50%, and feed at a dose of 10 – 15 ml/kg feed. Note: Shake the product well before use. Dosage may vary depending on shrimp health and actual farming conditions. - Close the bottle/container cap immediately after use if the product is not fully consumed.
