Protocol QT-04No antibiotic

White liver, white gill from repeated antibiotics

Farmers often mistake this for a fresh bacterial infection and feed more antibiotic, deepening the loop.

AgentA treatment consequence, not a bacterial disease
SpeciesPangasius — the principle applies to all species
WithdrawalNo antibiotic used

Step 0 · Identify

What you see at the pond

Not a new infection. Ask the pond's history first: how many antibiotic courses, and how long each.

  • Pale white liver and gills
  • Prolonged poor appetite, slow growth
  • History: several antibiotic courses, or one long course

Fe+B12 is not in the web catalogue. The closest product is VIMIX — it contains ferrous glycine chelate and vitamin B12, at 3–5 g/kg feed. Technical staff must confirm the substitution.

Only this step creates a withdrawal period — 4 weeks.

Withdrawal

None

No antibiotic is used, so no withdrawal period — unless the AQUA PRAZI step is used, which is 4 weeks.

No improvement in 3–5 days

The liver recovers over weeks, not days. If the fish are not feeding again after five days, repeat the protocol — do NOT switch to antibiotics, which would deepen the very cause.

Note

Heavy gill fluke burden is also a cause. Check the gills before blaming the drugs.
