Technical application guide — Rhodo photosynthetic bacteria activation
📦 Preparation
- 1 drum containing a minimum of 200 liters of water.
- 1 bucket containing a minimum of 10 liters of water.
- 180 liters of clean water (do not use pond water).
- 1 clean nylon bag capable of holding 20 liters of water (can reuse cleaned shrimp postlarvae bags).
- 1 microbial jug of at least 20 liters (already reddish-brown — the darker, the better). If using Thần Vương brand: RODO BACTO 20-liter jug type.
- 1 box of nutrient NUTRI RHODO.
🧪 Instructions
- Pour 170 liters of clean water into the drum (note: do not use pond water).
- Pour 10 liters of clean water into the plastic bucket. Add the small nutrient sachet from the NUTRI RHODO box, stir well until completely dissolved (approx. 1 minute).
- Next, add the remaining nutrient (protein / yeast extract) from the NUTRI RHODO box, stir well for about 10 minutes.
- Pour the 10-liter mixture from the bucket into the drum with 170 liters of clean water, continue stirring well.
- Add the Rhodo microbial jug (20 liters) into the drum, stir well for another 20 minutes to complete the mixture.
- Transfer the mixture into nylon bags, use rubber bands to seal the bag openings tightly.
☀️ Sun Incubation
- Expose the bags to sunlight — the more surface area exposed to sunlight, the faster the mixture will develop color.
- Typically: on day 4, the reddish-brown color begins to appear.
- After 7 days, if the color has developed well → the product can be used for the pond.
📝 Notes
- Absolutely do not use pond water for mixing — as it will introduce contaminants and spoil the culture batch.
- Stir for sufficient time (10 minutes for nutrients + 20 minutes after adding microbes) to achieve maximum effectiveness.
- The thinner and flatter the nylon bag (increasing sun exposure area) → the faster the color will develop.
- Shrimp postlarvae bags can be reused — clean thoroughly before use.
