Vitamins and amino acids in aquaculture feed
- Vitamins play an important role for aquatic animals and are even more essential in intensive farming models like today. However, vitamins play a decisive role in the metabolic processes of the body.
- Most vitamins serve as co-enzymes supporting enzymes to perform biochemical reactions and metabolic processes in the body. Amino acids are used to synthesize specific proteins for the body.
- Shrimp are aquatic animals that are unable to synthesize vitamins and amino acids themselves, so supplementing vitamins and amino acids for shrimp is very necessary under high-density farming conditions as today.
Problems caused by vitamin deficiency
- Stunted growth, slow development due to inability to metabolize protein in feed.
- Low survival rate due to weak resistance and immunity in shrimp and disease susceptibility.
- Poor ability to tolerate environmental changes, easy to get infected: Shock, stress.

- Vehicle: Hydrolyzed protein from plant origin (supplying L – Lysine, L – Threonine, L – Tryptophane, Leucine, Aspatic Acid, Glutamic Acid, Valine, Alanine, Histidine, Phenylalanine, Serine, Glycine, Proline, Arginine, Tyrosine, Cysteine, Isoleucine) and purified water in adequate quantity
CANFORTA is a complete mixture of vitamins, amino acids and minerals essential for shrimp that shrimp cannot synthesize in their bodies:
- Vitamins A, D3, K3 are essential for the formation of connective tissue and cell division so that farmed shrimp can grow.
- Vitamin B1, B6 are necessary for protein metabolism, stabilizing shrimp nervous system.
- Supply amino acids and minerals necessary for growth and maintaining stable osmotic regulation in shrimp body.
Usage instructions
Mix the product with clean water in adequate quantity, stir evenly into feed, coat with ATOMIC product or suitable product, dry for 20 minutes before feeding to shrimp.
- During farming: 3 – 5 ml/kg feed, 1 – 2 times/day.
- Supplementation when shrimp are weak, soft shell: 5 – 7 ml/kg feed, 1 – 2 times/day, 3 – 5 consecutive days.
- Stage requiring rapid weight gain promotion: 7 – 10 ml/kg feed, 1 – 2 times/day.
